How to Request Award

<1>How to Apply
Please call JAL European Reservations/the JMB Center for applying for awards. Online application is also available for the following awards through JAL's website by login.
  • - JAL Group Airlines International Award Tickets
  • - JAL Group Airlines International Upgrade Awards (some reservations cannot be acceptable for online award applications.)
  • - JAL Group Airlines Domestic Award Tickets
  • - JAL COUPON Awards
  • - Eurostar Ticket Awards

* Award applications cannot be made to JAL Group city ticket offices, JAL airport counters or the JMB Centers in other regions.
* Awards can only be applied for and issued in Europe, Middle East and Africa Region.

<2>Deadlines for Award Applications.
Awards type Deadlines for processing JMB awards*1
JAL Group International Award Tickets/JMB Partner Airlines Award Tickets From 10:00am (Japan time) 330 days until 12:00 noon (UK time) 4 days*2*5 prior to the date of flight departure.
For applications made on JAL International Award Tickets through JAL's website, until 23:59pm (UK time) 7 days prior to the date of flight departure.
JAL Group Domestic Award Tickets From 9:30am (Japan time) 2 months until 4 days*3 prior to the date of flight departure.
For applications through JAL's website, until 23:59pm (UK time) 4 days prior to the date of flight departure.
JAL Group International Upgrade Awards Until 12:00 noon (UK time) the day*3 prior to flight departure.
For applications through JAL's website, until 23:59pm (UK time) the day prior to flight departure.
Upgrade awards can be also applied for at the departure airport on the day of flight departure. Please click here for full details.
Hotel Awards 14 days prior to the date of check-in
JAL COUPON Awards/Eurostar Ticket Awards 2 weeks required to deliver from the request date*4
  • *1 The day when all reservations have been confirmed and mileage has been redeemed will be referred to as the "Deadlines for processing JMB awards"
  • *2 Deadlines will defer if a Saturday, Sunday, or UK Holiday falls within the 4 days prior to departure. Please apply for your awards to the JMB Center well in advance.
  • *3 If the deadline is a Saturday, Sunday, or UK Holiday, the deadline will be the previous weekday.
  • *4 Depending on the region you reside it may take more than 2 weeks to deliver.
  • *5 Deadlines for China East Airlines (MU) is 7 days prior to flight departure.
  • *For LAN and Finnair Award Tickets, award applications cannot be accepted if the award ticket cannot be issued within 72 hours from the time the award application is completed.
  • *For Hotel Awards, award reservations will be accepted 6 months prior to the hotel stay, however, due to our contract agreements there are some cases in which we may not be able to accept reservations 6 months in advance.
  • *For Eurostar Ticket Awards, award reservations will be opened 80 days prior to the departure.

How to Receive Awards

-JAL Group International Award Tickets/JMB Partner Airlines Award Tickets
[ e-tickets ]
For e-ticket eligible routes, tickets will be issued in e-ticket format and an e-ticket receipt will be sent to your registered e-mail address. Please confirm at the time of reservation for eligible routes.
※e-ticket is not applicable if the passenger is traveling with infants. For more details, please check at the time of reservation.

[ Non e-tickets ]
Members are offered the following options to receive their award.
  • Delivery
For security reason, all items sent from the JMB Center can ONLY be mailed to your JMB registered address in Europe, Middle East and Africa Region. Please check the registered address at time of award application and notify the JMB Center promptly of any change of address.

  • Ticket Collection at JAL Group city ticket office
Ticket collection is possible at the following JAL Group city ticket offices during office hours: Geneva, Milan, Moscow, Rome, Vienna and Zurich.
※Collection from JAL General Sales Agents, airport check-in counter, JALPAK and JAL Group city ticket offices is not possible.
※If the JMB member is to pick up the award, the member’s JMB card or other proof of identification must be shown.
※If a person other than the JMB member is to pick up the award, proof of identity must be shown along with a letter of authorization signed by the member, specifying the name of the person who is to pick up the award and the name of the person who is to use the award.

-JAL Group International Upgrade Awards
Upgrade awards will be processed at airport check-in. Please bring your purchased ticket to the check-in counter.
Amounts for the following air passenger duties may differ according to cabin class. Members are required to pay the difference in the amount of duty at the time of check -in for every upgrade to Executive class on Economy class tickets.
British Air Passenger Duty: 40GBP for departures from London
International Air Passenger Solidarity Tax: 36EUR for departing from Paris. This tax can only be paid in cash.

-JAL Group Domestic Award Tickets
Tickets are not received in advance but picked up at the departure airport in Japan. Please click here for the details.

-JAL COUPON Awards and Eurostar Ticket Awards
